What we know about Emmy Design from our shop
Bright House Vintage has been a shop in Windsbach since 2019. We sell Emmy Design there ourselves and advise customers on it. So we don't just see the photos from Sweden, we also see how the pieces actually fit in the changing room.
The most important point is not in any manufacturer description: overall, Emmy tends to run small. The knitwear is cut more generously than the dresses, blouses and trousers, but it does not run larger than German sizes either. If you are between two sizes, go for the larger one with the woven pieces if in doubt.
Emmy is particularly interesting for tall women. The trousers have a 7 cm seam allowance, so the length can be adjusted. If you rarely find trousers that are really long enough, this gives you room to play that hardly any other brand offers.
Another practical point is that the collections go together. Colours and cuts are coordinated across the collections, so you can easily combine a new piece with an older one.
If you are unsure which cut suits you, just write to us. And if you are nearby: at our shop in Windsbach you can try things on at your leisure by appointment.

The style of Emmy Design Sweden
Emmy Design Sweden combines historical cuts with modern wearability. Inspired by the Edwardian era and the 1940s, the result is feminine silhouettes with clean lines and high quality materials. The designs feel timeless and suit everyday wear as well as special occasions.
If you like this style, brands such as House of Foxy, Femkit or Weekend Doll might also be of interest to you.
Highlights from Emmy Design
Whether you are looking for high quality cardigans, need perfectly fitting trousers or love elegant blouses, Emmy Design has something for you. The Swedish brand wins you over with timeless classics such as the Favorite Blouse, which appears in almost every collection. Another highlight is the Miss Fancy Pants, which pairs perfectly with the matching Sassy Suspenders. The legendary Ice Skater Cardigan is also one of the absolute must-haves and defines the typical Emmy Design style. Alongside these icons, the range offers many more styles, from knitted tops to feminine skirts, for everyone who appreciates vintage fashion with modern quality.
The story of Emmy and her vision
Emmy Design was founded in 2010 by the Swedish designer Emmy. Looking for vintage fashion that was comfortable, flattering and suitable for all weathers, she began designing her own pieces. Today the brand stands for hand-drawn designs, high quality European materials and timeless vintage-inspired pieces. All collections are made in small runs, with a focus on quality, durability and sustainability.
In our brand overview you can also discover many more labels that share the same commitment to quality and vintage aesthetics.
