Dress Nelly in Gold

A fitted dress made of black brocade. A dense diamond pattern in matt antique gold runs across the entire fabric, with individually placed, highly lustrous ornaments of metallic yarn woven in. They catch the light and make the surface shift between black and warm gold depending on the angle. The neckline is framed by a contrasting collar in matt black fabric that stands up at the back of the neck and ends in a pointed opening at the front. The half-length sleeves end above the elbow. Dividing seams give the bodice a close fit; a full skirt with hidden side pockets starts at the waist. A concealed zip closes the dress at the back, and it is lined in black. A dress for the evening: with simple pumps and delicate jewellery, in winter with a waistcoat or short jacket, and with a petticoat for even more swing.

The outer fabric is 49% polyester, 41% cotton and 10% metal. The woven-in metallic yarn gives the brocade its shine and a firm, structured body that supports the full skirt. The collar and lining are kept in matt black and deliberately contrast with the shimmer of the patterned surface.
