Retro fashion at Bright House Vintage

Who we are

Bright House Vintage is a small boutique from Windsbach in Franconia. We sell women's fashion in the style of the 1930s to 1950s: blouses, high waisted trousers, skirts, dresses, knitwear and waistcoats. In our online shop you will find four labels we chose ourselves: Emmy Design, House of Foxy, Weekend Doll and Femkit. If you would rather try things on in person, you can book a private shopping appointment with us.

Why new clothes in a retro style

Genuine vintage clothing from the 1940s is rare, often cut very small and marked by years of wear. That is why we do not sell second hand. Everything here is newly made, following old patterns and originals. You get the look of the era, with high waists, pleats, puff sleeves and pussy bows, but in today's sizes, in new fabrics and made to be worn every day.

How the labels fit

Emmy Design from Sweden runs rather small. House of Foxy from England works from 1940s patterns, uses UK sizes and runs rather large. Weekend Doll, also from England, uses UK sizes too; the blouses and knitwear are generous, the high waisted trousers fit true to size or slightly large. With Femkit from Berlin the fit differs from piece to piece, so it is worth checking the size chart on each product. If you are unsure, just write to us and we will tell you which size we recommend.

Ordering, shipping and exchanges

We ship with DHL. Within Germany delivery takes 2 to 4 working days, and from 99 € shipping is free. We also deliver to Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, the Czech Republic and Switzerland, with free shipping from 99 € as well. Parcels to Germany and the EU include a return label. Would you like a different size or colour? Send us a short message: we put the new piece aside, cover the return shipping and send it as soon as your return arrives. You have 14 days to try everything on at home. All details are on our shipping and returns page.
