Palava has its roots in a family business in Yarm on Tees, England, which has been run for generations since 1854, evolving from a wine and spirits trade to today's fashion business. In 1974, Stephanie and Michael Holt took over the business and laid the foundation for what is now Palava with the brand Poppy. After a break, the brand was rebuilt and further developed by Bryony Richardson about 10 years later. To this day, Palava stands for independent designs, high-quality materials, and conscious, responsible production.
