The Art Deco Dream Skirt in Burgundy Tweed

The Art Deco Dream Skirt comes from Emmy Design's autumn/winter collection 2021 and takes up the long, slim silhouette of the 1930s. The high waistband has several rows of topstitching, and at the front the skirt closes with an asymmetric button placket with four cherry red buttons set in a zigzag on pointed tabs, the typical Art Deco detail of this design. Vertical dividing seams lengthen the figure, and in the lower part walking pleats with pointed ends allow freedom of movement. A deep pocket at the hip is big enough for a phone. With a cream blouse, a waistcoat or cardigan in berry tones and Oxford shoes, it makes a classic autumn outfit in the style of the thirties.

The fabric is a burgundy herringbone tweed with a light weft yarn and fine nubs in ochre, beige and olive. The material is 48% wool, 21% viscose, 18% polyamide, 10% polyester, 2% silk and 1% elastane. The fabric comes from Italy, and the skirt is made in Lithuania.

- Air between wears to save on washing
- Machine wash with wool detergent on a wool cycle or hand wash at 30 °C
- Wash with similar colours, light and dark colours separately
- Turn inside out for washing and ironing
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry
- Iron at low temperature
- Reshape while damp
- Gentle dry cleaning with PCE possible (P)
- No shrinkage in width, max. 1% in length
