The Katharine Stardust Slacks in brown pinstripe

The Katharine Stardust Slacks are developed from the Ziggy Hepburn Pants and combine the lines of the 1940s with the wide leg of the 70s. The high waistband sits snugly at the waist, the cut follows the hip closely and the leg then opens out widely and falls over the shoe. Two flap pockets sit at the front, the back stays plain, and belt loops take a belt. With a blouse and waistcoat the result is a classic retro look, with a roll neck and cardigan an everyday one.

The material consists of 52 % wool, 46 % polyester and 2 % elastane. The fabric is soft and light, the ground a cool dark brown, and the pinstripes in muted taupe show up more or less clearly depending on the light. The 8 cm hem and the centre back seam with 4 cm allowance make the trousers easy to adjust in length and width. The fabric comes from Portugal, the model is made in Lithuania.
