Petticoat

A petticoat that simply works: we have been selling this model at festivals and fairs for years, and it is the only petticoat we carry, because it fits under every swing and rockabilly dress. At 66 cm (26 inches) it ends just above the knee, the soft tulle does not scratch and the lined design gives even volume without showing through.

The Lifeforms model by Banned Retro has a buttoned-in elastic band in the waistband that adjusts both width and height, plus ruffles along the hem that add movement to the skirt. The waist stays narrow and the volume only starts below it. Thanks to the extra hem layers the petticoat falls evenly and shows dresses off beautifully. Made from 80% polyamide, 17% polyester and 3% elastane.

Sizing note:
The petticoat has an elastic waistband and comes in dual sizes only:
- XS/S (fits approx. EU size 34 to 36)
- M/L (fits approx. EU size 38 to 40)
- XL/2XL (fits approx. EU size 42 to 46)
The stretch waistband keeps the sizes flexible and comfortable without pinching.

How to wash it and how to store it so that it keeps its volume is explained in our petticoat guide.

- Turn inside out before washing and do not soak in water
- Wash inside out on a delicate cycle at 30°C
- Do not tumble dry
- Do not iron
- Do not hang it in the wardrobe, the volume pulls out over time
- Once fully dry, scrunch it up small and store it in a fabric bag or pillowcase at the bottom of the wardrobe
